accelerated mobile pages

The accelerated mobile pages ( AMP ) project was announced in October 2015, but since February 24, Google has officially integrated this project into the search results. Is this a new revolution in search or just a small change for a small audience?

The speed at websites is important. Nobody is waiting for long loading times and where there is still some patience on the desktop, you do not have this patience when you quickly open that one page on your mobile while you’re waiting in the elevator. With an AMP, the loading time of the page is significantly reduced by the “undressing” of the page and caching and the loading of minor elements later on.

AMPs only show the minimum required information to the user. Javascript is not allowed (apart from a small Javascript library) and the AMP pages are cached by Google. Elements such as photos or advertisements are only downloaded when there is a high probability that they will be seen and load later than the rest of the content.
